Lee quit Stanford University and turned pro in 2019. Her amateur golf career saw her stay for 17 weeks at leading the World Amateur Golf Ranking. Lee was also awarded an award in 2019: the Mark H. McCormack Medal for finishing the year as the top-ranked amateur. Lee had four hole-in-ones and one albatross as an amateur. Lee finished among Top 10 once in her debut year on the LPGA Tour. She placed 7th in the AIG Women's Open in 2020 which was held on Kingsbarns Golf Links. Lee claimed her maiden LPGA Tour win in the 2022 Portland Classic. Lee dedicated the win to her great-grandfather Min who passed away in 2012. He always called me a winner, and believe that I was a winner. She added, "I was so grateful to him. I'm sure he's still looking over me." She competed previously in soccer, figure skating and Taekwondo. In addition to golf, Lee's interests include shopping for movies, singing bowling and snowboarding.
